Football Party Theme
At your next "kickoff" party, whether it be for children, adults, or both, you're sure to score big with these ideas.

Grown-ups like to have as much fun as kids, so to make your guests feel more welcome, greet them with black face paint (under eyes) and they're ready!

On your party table use football related party products:

  • Football confetti
  • Tissue centerpieces

    Hang some:

  • Football jerseys
  • Cleats
  • Football memorabilia
  • Knee pads
  • Shoulder pads
  • Whatever you or your kids have that are football or team related.

Serve food that is quick and easy to make:

  • Chili with rolls or breadsticks
  • Sloppy joes
  • Hot dogs
  • epperoni
  • Cheeses
  • Salsa and chips
  • Various dips
  • Lots of munchies

Name your dishes with small signs like:

  • Touchdown tortillas
  • Punted pepperoni
  • Holding hot dogs
  • Defense doodles

During halftime or whenever you'd like, play games like "football pictionary".

Using large posterboard paper and split into teams, draw anything related to the game.

You may want to have pre-made cards with words or phrases already on it for your guests to draw.

    Examples are:

  • Penalty
  • Mouthpiece
  • Safety
  • Fans
  • Bleachers
  • Cheerleaders,
  • Pass

Have a time limit as well.

You could also have a football pinata and fill it with age appropriate items and treats.

For adults you may want to put in maalox, advil, gas-x, etc.

For kids, you could put whistles, candy, football stickers, football trading cards, etc.

Some other games that you could play are "football trivia", football word find (see how many words you can make from the word football), and challenge your guests to rename football then try to use that word instead of football.

Just let your imagination and creativity flow.

    Have Fun!
